Week 06 of WhatToDoWithYou

Hello again! And welcome to our game WhatToDoWithYou!

Once again, we're back with another weekly devlog! We'll be going over the technical advancements of the game first.

When starting up the game, you will be greeted by a main menu which you can see below. There's no controller support yet, but this will be fixed by next weeks build! It also doesn't have a nice-looking image... yet!

Currently, you will be greeted by 3 btuttons. The first one being the start button, which simply starts the game. You can also click on quit, which just quits the game (SHOCKER!). Finally,  you can also click on settings. These settings don't do anything just yet, functionality will come in the coming weeks :).

"signs/pop-ups" have been added to the game! For now they show a cool-looking dinosaur but soon you will get useful information from these!

We've also tweaked our camera to better accentuate our movement!

We also have a working pickup which let's you re-use your dash without having to land! You won't see this pickup in the build of this week though.

And that's it for the technical aspect of this devlog.

Let's get into the artistical aspect of the devlog now.

First of all... We've rigged our characters and they're both ready for animation-implementation! Here's a snippet of what animations you can look forward to in the coming weeks.

We've also created some trees, and tried decorating a little test-level with everything we already have to show off what our game could soon look like!

And last but not least, we have made, and finished, a few assets. More specifically: we have textured our spike-models, we made and textured a model for the breakable terrain, and we've also made two version of mountains we will put in the background of our levels!

That's it for this devlog, and we all hope to see you again next week!

Until then!
