Week 07 of WhatToDoWithYou


Hello again! And welcome to our game: WhatToDoWithYou!

We are back with a new devlog and will jump right into the changes of the past few weeks: 

As we promised in our last devlog, the main menu screen now has controller support! 



We have also implemented some of the animations already!


If and when you die, you can see we implemented some particle effects for the death and respawn of our characters!

We have also started implementing real levels into our build, you can see 2 previews of our 4 working levels down below:

As we have started making the actual levels, you might notice that you won't be able to switch characters anymore. Don't be afraid! Because this is intended. The first two levels are specifically made to be beaten by the angel, the other two are to be beaten only using the demon. Between these levels you will automatically switch characters, and you'll also notice the background fog changing color!


Those were the technical changes to the project, let's jump into the artistical changes now. 
Most changes were already visible in the previous GIFs: We've started decorating the levels and fixed some behind the scenes issues. The ethereal platform has now been fully implemented with its own model as well!


We also made a cute pillar you will see once you get past level 2!

We also have some models that have not been put in any of the levels yet: 3 variants of fungi, 3 variants of gravestones, and 2 variants of crates!



You might have noticed that the line between technical and artistical changes are slowly starting to blur, this is because we are approaching the final stage of our production!  I hope you guys are as excited as we are for the finished product!
